Card #2 and Scrap Matters Speedscrap

I'm on a roll, two days in a row.  Here is the second card in the "It's in the Cards" card series.  I like how this one came out.

They are having a speed scrap at Scrap Matters tomorow. I'm going to try to make it. It's a blast. To check it out, click here. It will be at 2pm Eastern time.

Delayed post - Sprague Week 4

I was delayed because I did not get home from Bunco until after midnight last night.  There was a lot more talking than dice rolling, but I had a good time.

Here is my last layout from the Jessica Sprague "Now We're Rocking Class."  I'm sad that they're all done, but I learned a whole lot.

Scrap Matters Gang - Sprague Week 3 Layout

Well, I'm officially part of the Scrap Matters Gang. This is Scrap Matters version of a welcoming party. So, I'll be participating in the challenge and trying to offer friendly support and encouragement on the forum. I'm excited, because it will help me to keep developing my skills. So, I'll probably try to update the blog a little bit before November 1st, when I'm due to start.

And speaking developing my skills, here's my Week 3 layout from my Jessica Sprague class. Alana and Erica helped me with the idea:

Back to it

It's been a while, a lot has happened.  We had a close family death and that really set me back, but I've been back to scrapping again and will start to post what I've done.  I'm going to try to post a layout a day, since I've done 6 this months and a few the last month.  I should be caught up by the end of the month.

Short Break

I'm taking a few days break to reorganize all my scrapping supplies and get my soccer teams in order.  Expect more scrapping next week.
I will post the results of the scrap matters telephone scrap when it's posted.

Telephone Game / Speed scrap @ Scrap Matters

I've participated in a telephone scrap, but will wait to post my layout until its over.  In the meantime, here is my latest speed scrap. I really struggled this time, but I like the results. I think it's time to go back and reorganize to make things a little easier.

A Mountain of Clothes and a Scrapping Makeover

Real life has gotten in the way lately as I had to get my teen off to cross country camp.  She's grown so much in the last year that none of her clothes fit.   It took three days of shopping to get her ready.  Just take a look of the pile of clothes she has that no longer fits.
We were up until 1:00am getting her packed, but luckily got enough sleep to get her up and ready by 8:00am.

I finally completed my scrapping makeover for the Scrap Matters Challenge.  Here are my before pages:

Almost done, yet no scrapping

I'm psyched. I got a pretty page title and I'm going to leave all alone for a bit. When I get some pictures posted, I'll probably have to rethink the background as It's taking quite a bit to load.

I didn't get any scrapping done yesterday. I worked with my friend Lori, helping her get organized. It will probably take us a few more sessions to get her all under control; her hard drive was not pretty. On the plus side, I did get 2 years of photos moved onto my EHD to use with my mac and figured out I can put move my digiscrap fairly easily as well.

I am definitely scrapping tonight. I was to get my redo done before the midnight deadline. Pictures will be posted later today.

Making a lot of progress

Things are coming along great.  I've got colored papers on the blog now.  Here is a great tutorial on how to do it, SJH BLog Design.

Yesterday, I also:
  • Set up and partitioned my new external hard drive
  • Backed up my laptop using Time Machine
  • Uploaded all my layouts to the Scrap Matters gallery
  • Applied to be part of the Scrap Matters gang
I'm learning so much and just loving it.

I have a scrapping lunch date today so I hope to have my first post blog layout completed and ready to publish tomorrow.  I'm going to do a rescrap of one of my Abaco pages for the Scrap Matters Saturday Special - Complete Makeover.

I did it - my very own Blog

It's not very pretty but it's here - my very own blog.  A lot easier than I thought.  I'm determined to spend one hour a day until I get it how I'd like it to be.
Thanks to the ladies at Scrap Matters for getting me rolling on this.  They even have some good info and links in their "How'd You Do That" section.
